Join us as we discuss the ever growing civil rights crisis in Michigan, and the fascist' plan to conquer America. In case you haven't notice, they're winning.
MIKE DONOVAN: The America that we are living in right now is not a free America. You, me, the American people… We have our backs, we stand up or we sit down, let us stand up and fight to protect each and every American citizen over a bureaucracy that means nothing.
Hello. Hello folks. Welcome to another episode of Not Free America radio in the United States of America -- United States of chaos and confusion. Tempers flare in Michigan today as Governor Whitmer meets her match. Angry Michiganders, or Michigan-ites or however we say that I admit I'm a little ignorant as to how to say that, but the fine folks of Michigan turned out today protesting Governor Whitmer stay at home orders. Folks, Mike Donovan here, your host. Thank you for joining me. Episode 14 of our podcast. So excited to say that we've had over 11,200 downloads in the last 14 days. You guys are absolutely amazing.
We shared a phone number on last night's podcast, which we'll continue to share and we received several calls and had some interaction with listeners today, which was awesome. Even got one case forwarded over to attorneys for review and evaluation. So really, really excited to be able to reach out to you and be able to hear from you. The phone number if you'd like to report a violation of your civil rights or someone you know is (855) 925-2833.
I fund a law firm that files lawsuits against governments, police and companies that infringe on the civil liberties of Americans like you and me. And if this happens to you, I want you to call me, I'd like to see if we can help. All right, so in Michigan today, Governor Whitmer of course, one of the, I would say, one of the stricter governors with more strict orders -- Governor Whitmer had no problem ordering pastors, you know, arrested… church services shut down. But Gretchen Whitmer's a house, proverbial house was surrounded today when folks from Michigan conservative coalition, did something called, “operation gridlock”. They organized a giant traffic jam, huge bumper to bumper traffic jam, around the Michigan Capitol building today. And in addition to doing that, they also protested outside of the Michigan Capitol building.
Meshawn Maddock, who is an organizer for the group, said, and love this quote, Meshawn said, “Quarantine is when you restrict movement of sick people. And tyranny is when you restrict the movement of healthy people.” Well, if that's the case, tyranny is on display in Michigan. But you know what, Governor Whitmer, you’re not any match for the people of Michigan. They put you where you are and they can take you right out of there. This is a democracy or a Republic anyway. And it is still such until such time as we lose it. And while it seems to be slipping away each day, that is perhaps why it is more important, evermore important, each day that you’ve got to check yourself. Do not let yourself get carried away in these hysterics of this crisis. It is a crisis, but it's a crisis that can be solved.
And I scratch my head and wonder why our government is not solving it. And you have to sort of understand it… I believe that this virus is real and I believe it's inflicting a heavy toll on many in the United States and around the world. But I do not believe that it is something that required the advocation of our civil liberties, the wholesale burning of our constitution. Legally.
I do not believe it was appropriate to have 50 governors become Kings overnight. I don't believe it was appropriate to tell people that couldn't go to church on Easter. I don't believe the government can tell me that I have to close my office or my store or my theater if I have one. I believe that if I have one, my responsibility is to close it. And I believe that if I have one and I expect people to come to it in the middle of a pandemic, I'm an idiot.
But I don't need the government to tell me I can't. You see, this is quintessentially America folks. If you don't get it, then you really want something different. You weren't paying attention in history class and perhaps civics needs to be taught a little more in school because you have a responsibility as a free person to protect your liberty so that it is protected for other people. That's why I do what I do. I spend a fortune helping people. I don't sue governments I've never been impacted by… because I know that if I do that every day, then that means that the rights that I cherish means something. If they mean something for somebody else, I don't know that has -- you know that that is disadvantaged or disaffected or comes from a place that doesn't normally get justice… I know if I bring justice to those people and let them experience it, then it's alive for me.
So imagine my surprise in this America where justice feels like something we've long lost when the governors of states can become Kings and Queens and restrict not just a movement, the assembly, and the worship of their people, but it's not going to end any time soon. And this is my problem, folks. DC extended their stay at home order through May 15th. The president says he's going to announce new CDC guidance tomorrow.
The governor of New York says he's not going to be intimidated into reopening his state early. The governor of Illinois, a businessman by any stretch of the imagination, Governor Pritzker agrees and says he's going to keep Illinois locked down. California, Oregon and Washington have formed a regional coalition governor of advisory government, I guess if you will. I don't know really what to call it. We've never really seen it before in this country.
You have New York and Pennsylvania and New Jersey and other states in the Northeast also creating a regional, fractionalized government advisory committee if you will, to increase the power of the states. And see, you know, now that you have two of those, you're going to have more of those because other states can't just you know -- the purchasing power alone for medical supplies of these accumulated states will make it impossible for other states not to join. And then you end up in regional fractionalization… and that's what we have and it's going to get worse. It's going to get worse. California has no reason to want to come back into the American economy once this thing blows up.
They just don't. They're a huge worldwide economic force. And quite frankly, after this thing blows up, which it is blowing up, why would California -- California would be better off to go their own way. And that's going to be true multiple ways. I mean, this is why economically this disaster, no one's even thinking about it. No one's even thinking about common sense things like inflation. What does the dollar even mean? This is an inflation, folks. We're printing money. We'll print money to the magnitude of numbers that don't even mean anything. A hundred trillion dollars, a hundred trillion. What does that mean? We're printing it on our printer. Shame on us.
You know -- and you know what's crazy though? So here's a bit of common sense to you. Now, I've had some listeners write and call and say, you know, “why are you so hype on testing?” You know, some of our listeners think that the disease is overblown. Some think that it's an incredibly -- absolutely a government-initiated conspiracy. I just don't think that's true. I think the government could have done this in a number of other ways if they wanted to create a conspiracy that would have inoculated some of the elite class -- that we've seen -- that the elite class has been getting sick. So I don't see that. I do believe that the government has taken advantage of it.
I don't believe it much matters now whether you believe it was before or after. You and I agree on so much now because now as the reality of where we are and the government has used this and abused this and will continue to.
A judge in McHenry County, Illinois, forced the health department to provide the names of all COVID-19 patients to police… so that the police can create a data list. And that's going to get worse as these apps that are going to be on our phones are going to track who we come in contact with. Watch CNN or Fox or MSNBC and you will see talking heads, talk about tracing and tracking. Those are scary words. This government will hire hundreds of thousands of little government agents. I wonder if they'll put them in Brown shirts and they'll send them around and they will track you and… some of your most sensitive data.
And look, I mean privacy doesn't matter because it's a health crisis, right? We’ve got to save lives. We have to save lives. This is a capitalist economy. We have changed it. Maybe that's good. Maybe that's good, but did any of us know what we were getting into when we did it? Now the government says we're going to have to wait 12 to 18 months, 12 to 18 months more of this. You won't remember what it is to be free after 12 to 18 months. You won't, some of you don't remember what it is to be free now.
Now folks, we have to wake up, we have to wake up and we have to move forward. A couple of things that we're going to be doing, we're taking action against some facilities that are refusing to provide testing. If you have been denied a test and you believe that you may have been exposed to Coronavirus, and you want to be tested… you've gone to a medical facility, that medical facility has denied your testing, please call us.We may be able to help. Again, this is a public health crisis, a pandemic. We are taught that we all have to come and do what we can.
Then we have to be given us the American people, the tools to do just that. I'm tired of sitting here and listening to the government make promises and pretend like they have our backs. You, me, the American people, we have our backs. We stand up or we sit down. Let us stand up and fight to protect each and every American citizen over a bureaucracy that means nothing. Printing money that means nothing. And all of us and our kids and our grandkids will pay.
It's time to change. It's time to take it back. In this period of crisis, let there be a new America governed by its people, inspired by common purpose to create a free place where people's inherent worth and dignity are affirmed and where individual liberty is respected. And where the principles of freedom are sacrosanct. Folks, thanks for joining me tonight. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Visit us online, www.NotFreeAmericaradio.com.
