MIKE DONOVAN: The America that we are living in right now is not a free America. America comes together in emergency… we come together. Not this time. This time coming together is illegal.
Welcome to Not Free America radio Episode 13. Welcome, welcome friends. So glad to have you here in what still I guess pretends to be a free country. I want to start the podcast today a little bit differently and say a couple things. One we have our 10,000th download in 12 episodes, which I was really, really excited about. That's awesome.
So thank you all so much and we've got so many people listening and engaging. It's been really, really awesome. I think there's a real hunger for the truth. I think that's what really needs to be talked about. I'm just a vessel for it, just talking about it. I want to hear from you and in a couple different very specific ways. One is that we fund a law firm and that law firm helps sue governments that violate people's civil rights. That's happening a lot now and anywhere in the country, we can help.
So if you know someone whose rights have been violated, call us right now. You can reach out and someone will contact you for a legal referral. They'll ask you questions and forward that information. And then a lawyer will call you to go over the facts of the case. But the number for you to write down and send to your friends, make sure… post it out there, get it shared out on Facebook, Tweet it, get it on Instagram, you know, get it out there so folks know… (855) 925-2833. That's the hotline to call. If you or your family member have a civil rights violation, please call that number and make sure that you mentioned that you heard it on the podcast here on Not Free America radio.
Alright guys, we are talking and what we continue to talk about, episode after episode, now we're in our second week, second week. It feels like it's been a really, really long time… as we're adapting to a new America. And what is the new America? Does anyone feel like this is a little bit like a con? Like for real and again, ground rules… we all understand that no one in this podcast, production of this podcast, believes that the virus is a fake or a hoax or anything like that.
But if you do not believe that governments are utilizing the benefits, I say “benefits”, meaning ability to grab power and seize control from this virus and the pandemic and the effects of it, then you're not paying attention, you're not. And it's simply feels like they're laying the ground for worse. And what do I mean by worse?
Well, we're hearing it at the federal level and we're hearing it at the state level that we need to be prepared for more of this stuff. More lockdowns, more social distancing, rolling lockdowns face mask requirements. The surgeon general of the state of Florida says that Floridians can expect these social distancing measures to continue for 12 to 18 months. Was that sold to us when we decided to shut our economy down, that we might have to live with it for 12 to 18 months?
Listen to the talking heads on any of the networks and ask yourself, do any of them look like they didn't know that was likely going to be the case? Isn't it time for people to start telling us the truth? Because as I see it, there is no vaccine. There is no cure to a disease that I know is horrible and deadly and a threat to humanity. I know that because I listened and I believed and I governed myself accordingly, which is why I've taken steps in my community and my family and supporting my employees to make sure that they are able to social distance, that they are able to keep themselves healthy and safe. I know that because that's what I've been told. What I see is something different. We've seen the wretches of this disease for sure in places like New York and elsewhere at a lesser degree elsewhere for sure, and I'm not making light of that at all.
But in those pockets I have seen death and plague and pestilence, but across this country I have seen pestilence in our constitution. Pestilence may well do us in, but the infection is in our liberties. You see, we aren't a free people if we don't accept the responsibilities of freedom. You get that? Nothing good is always good and nothing wonderful and worth keeping is easy. But heck, don't take my word for it. Watch any TV show with a five-year-old sitcom mentality and you'll see this is life lessons. If you haven't learned it already, folks… nothing good comes without hard work. We're about to figure that out either one way or the other.
Either we're going to figure it out because we saved this democracy or we're going to figure it out because we watch it burn, but it's on fire right now. And many people thought that the death of America would be seen in the streets of America in armed conflict like you saw in Charlottesville and that disgusting race war that seems like so much a part of our past now. But was really setting the stage, setting the tone, because you see it isn't war in the streets that will tear America apart.
It's war in our minds and in our hearts. America comes together in emergency. We come together. Not this time, this time coming together is illegal. Now, you can come together and be safe. You can come together and plan what you're going to do to support your community. But if you do it in more than a group of 10 in most states, you could go to jail
In Del Norte County, which is along California's Northwestern coast is a very interesting place if you've never been there. And basically most of the people that live there are libertarians and they're very, very interesting folks. I fashioned myself as a libertarian sometimes, although I don't have quite the commitment level to engage in all of the concepts of libertarianism. I will say, however, that the people that live there are quintessentially amazing. They live, very rugged, self-sufficient lives. And they are very, very concerned about California's lockdown policies.
Openly flouting it, their sheriff says we're a special kind of people here. We naturally socially distance anyway. Hopefully for sheriff Alberson's sake, the feds don't come in or the state police don't come in and decide to enforce a different sensibility, but you know -- when does this end?
You know, when does it end? And we know that in South Korea, over 116 people yesterday -- to have had the Coronavirus tested positive for what is believed to be a new strain. How many more of these are we going to have to deal with? And we don't have a vaccine. We don't even have tests. But we're all about to go back to work. Everything's going to be fine.
I will tell you something folks, if this government, federal or state, and I won’t even get started in a silliness of this argument between the president and these governors. If this government -- we opened now, it would single handedly prove stronger than any evidence that you could ever accumulate that this entire thing was a con. We made a decision that it was worth bankrupting the country to save lives. We made that decision. We went over the edge. You can't get off now.
How do you get off now? How do you say, well now it doesn't matter if these people die because now we realize we need to make money? We made a decision… run away from our civil liberties, run away from our responsibilities, run away from everything that has ever gotten America through a crisis before because you know what? Let's trust the government this time. You've got state governors forming fractional governments. You've got the president saying, “I have total control.” No one has total control. What's very, very clear is no one is in control of this. But there is a beneficiary -- deep, dark pit of control… that fascism that is alive well and growing within these United States. May God inspire us to stand up and fight or may God have mercy on our souls. Folks, thanks for joining me tonight. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Please remember, give us a call. Let us know if you have civil rights issues or no of civil rights issues in the community related to the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you.
